Senior Group Living & Respite Services

Personal Attention

With space for only three residents, our team is able to build warm, familiar relationships and truly understand each person’s routines and preferences.

Smoother Transitions

Small, residential homes often feel more natural for seniors—fewer faces to learn, quieter surroundings, and a setting that feels much closer to home.

Family Access

Families enjoy direct access to our owner and support team, making it easy to ask questions, stay informed, and ensure their loved one feels comfortable and well-supported each day.

Meet Our Founder

Marie Dominique Tervene

Hi, I’m Marie Dominique Tervene, founder of Bright Path Assisted Living & Memory Care. After 22 years in public service—and a lifetime of caring for my brother with autism and my father with dementia—I felt called to create something more personal. Bright Path was founded to preserve the dignity and joy of every adult entrusted to our care.

Our home reflects my family’s journey: compassionate, bilingual caregivers, warm surroundings, and a belief that every person deserves to age with grace and purpose. Thank you for considering us to be a part of your family’s journey. We are honored to care for your loved ones as if they were our own.

My role is to ensure that every family feels supported, informed, and cared for throughout their journey with us. Whether you’re just beginning your search or already getting settled at Bright Path, I’m always here to listen, guide, and help you find the answers you need. It’s a privilege to walk alongside families and help make each step feel a little lighter.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kinds of support do you offer, and who is a good fit for your home?

Bright Path is a small, three-resident group living home for seniors who benefit from a calm environment, daily structure, and non-medical support. Our team helps with everyday routines such as dressing, grooming, mobility cues, meal assistance, and medication reminders (non-medical). We also offer meaningful activities, gentle prompts, and steady companionship throughout the day.

A good fit is someone who appreciates a quiet, home-like setting and benefits from predictable routines. We welcome older adults and adults with special needs—including individuals with early to moderate memory loss, autism, or cognitive challenges—who do not require skilled nursing or medical treatment.

What makes Bright Path different from larger senior communities?

Bright Path was intentionally designed as a small, peaceful home—just three residents—so life here feels familiar, personal, and easy to navigate. Instead of rotating staff or large buildings, residents enjoy consistent routines, warm interactions, and a setting that feels more like a family home than a complex.

Families appreciate the direct access to our owner and support team, the quiet residential atmosphere, and the simple, predictable rhythm of daily life that helps seniors feel calm and secure.

What experience or qualifications does your team have?

Our team members bring a mix of training and experience from senior-support settings, including backgrounds in dementia-aware approaches, household assistance, and non-medical daily support. Some individuals have CNA or nursing experience, but they serve in non-medical roles only.

All team members receive guidance in:

- dementia-aware communication

- positive engagement techniques

- household safety routines

- CPR/First Aid

- supporting adults with autism, cognitive changes, or mobility challenges

We focus on hiring people who are warm, patient, and committed to creating a home where residents feel comfortable and valued.

How does pricing work?

Bright Path offers all-inclusive monthly pricing for full-time residents, plus simple daily and nightly rates for respite services. Families appreciate that our rates are predictable, without the surprise add-on fees common to large senior care providers.

We keep the atmosphere relaxed and comfortable, and we’ll share your loved one’s preferred visiting times so you can come when they’re most likely to feel rested and engaged.

Guests are welcome to join meals or activities with advance notice, and many families enjoy spending time together in our shared spaces or stepping outside for fresh air. If you’d like to arrange a special visit, celebration, or a time outside standard hours, just let us know—we can accommodate almost anything with some advanced notice.
